Ms. Ly Phuong Dung, Vice Chairwoman of VFDA, represented the Association in receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In recent years, VFDA has worked closely with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism across a range of key initiatives, contributing to the implementation of national strategies for the development of cultural industries, cinema, and cultural diplomacy. Through domestic and international film programs and events, VFDA has actively promoted the image of Vietnam and its people, while fostering film cooperation with regional and global partners.
Notable activities include an official working visit to the United States on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and the United States; the promotion of Vietnamese cinema at major international film festivals such as the Busan International Film Festival, the Tokyo International Film Festival, and the Cannes Film Festival; and the organization of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III).
DANAFF III was organized in the 20th anniversary of the Convention of the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions by UNESCO. In addition, DANAFF III was selected among the Top 10 Outstanding Cultural Events of 2025 as recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Finally, in December 2025, VFDA successfully organized the Vietnamese Film Week – The Journey of Light in Le Grand Rex, Paris, France, marking the first time Viet Nam hosted a large-scale Vietnamese film week in France’s cultural and artistic capital.
