The cooperation agreement of the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA) and the Institute of Language and International Studies of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH-ILACS) aims to co-develop activities and vocational training programs for filmmaking, film marketing and promotion. The upcoming short courses (2 weeks to 3 months) shall provide much-needed training in various disciplines to young aspiring filmmakers. Teaching participants are expected to be famed Vietnamese and international film experts and filmmakers, meeting the ever-increasing demands for high quality personnel of Vietnam’s film industry.
In 3 short years following its establishment, the VFDA has achieved a few key goals, one of which is creating strong ties with global film key influencers (the Motion Picture Association (USA), Netflix, Netpac, AFCNet… to name a few). Such ties open up opportunities for the development of world-class film vocational education, and the development of Vietnam’s film industry.
UEH is one of 14 key universities in the country offering multi-disciplinary training in the fields of economics, management, business and law. ILACS Institute is tasked with developing language and cultural – international studies programs, constantly updating and improving course content.
